Well it is that time of year again when we think of how to show appreciation to the seafarers when they are in a foreign land, working to support families who are far away. It can be lonely being a seafarer at the best of times and Christmas and important celebrations more so. At Christmas until New Years we give out gift bags to the seafarers on the ships and it is made possible by the donations we receive.
Items we gratefully appreciate are as follows;
Toothbrush
Toothpaste
Socks (not white or ankle)
Chocolate
Souvenirs like keychain or magnet
Toques bought or made.
Soap
If you can drop off items at the Waterfront Seafarers Centre (show photo ID to security and say you are going to the Seafarers Centre) or if you need items picked up the deadline to receive items is Friday 6th December.
Donations of cash, cheque to 'Mission to Seafarers' or Donations online on this website identified as 'Christmas at Sea Appeal' will be used to buy items for the gift bags.
