Christmas Eve gift giving

When Christmas Eve comes around the Chaplains supported by several other volunteers head out to English Bay where ships anchor before coming into the Port of Vancouver, and distribute gifts to the seafarers onboard.Inevitably seafarers call us Santa and we are glad to be, to share some joy with them,  helping to lighten the load at a time when they are far away from their families.

Thank you to all our supporters including Tymac Launch who provide the boat  to transport us.

In our case Santa’s helpers will continue to be busy giving out the gifts until the 1500 that were put together reach a seafarer. 

Being able to bring and leave something onboard be it a Christmas gift, a prayer shared, the thought that someone cares is truly a blessing to those who have the opportunity to do so.
