On Sunday September 29th the partnership in Mission between the Mission to Seafarers, Vancouver and St Michaels Multicultural Anglican Church in Vancouver was renewed with a signing ceremony and prayers at the morning service.
It was a double celebration as it also marked the 130th year of the community of St Michaels serving God in that place.
After the service at which Father Wilmer spoke about how God does great things through us a testament to the ministry of the people of St Michaels over the years as well as looking ahead to what is possible we gathered in the church hall and had delicious food and then enjoyed the talents of the people who make up St Michaels in song and dance.
The banner in the picture was made by people at St Michaels for the occasion.
It has been a partnership which has been such a blessing to the seafarers and to the work of the Mission in telling their story. It has also provided the people at St Michaels with the opportunity to learn and to practice what it means to go and do likewise as Christ asks of his disciples.
