The work of caring for seafarers is the service of many and that was certainly the case at the annual Cycle for Seafarers held on Saturday 24th August 2019.
It turned out to be a great day for cycling, we had more people than expected, we held the 15km ride to Kitsilamo Coastguard Station for the first time, we had a terrific BBQ which people would gladly come too if also held the next day.
They were familiar faces and new ones, people to whom 100kms was a welcome pursuit and others for whom 40km was a challenge.
For all this and more I want to thank the following for making it such a fun and successful day;
To the riders, it would not have been a cycle without you!
To the SPONSORS who donated in money and gifts in kind such as gift cards, salmon, harbour cruises and name cards for each rider.

To the organizing committee; Jim Lawson,Bonnie Gee,Gordon Yahn,Lori King, Jane McIvor,Doug Towill and Don MacInnes.
Many hands do make light work and what we raised enables the work of the Mission to lighten the load of the seafarers who it is all about.
