It was with sadness but also gratitude that I have heard some months after of the death of the Rev'd Ronald Leslie Barnes.

Ordained in 1961 he served in the Anglican Diocese of Algoma in Northern Ontario before moving to BC and the Anglican Diocese of New Westminister. 

Ron took the most pleasure in helping others being involved in numerous charities and was always quick to offer his service to anyone,

We at the Mission to Seafarers in Vancouver are grateful to Ron for his time as the interim Senior Port Chaplain in 2001 including the seafarers he supported. Ron was an avid sailor withh his own boat.

We extend our prayers to Ron's family.

May you all experience the peace of Christ who loves a cheerful giver just like Ron.
